Kitchen Assistant Required for Holdenhurst

We require a part-time Kitchen Assistant for our enhanced sheltered housing scheme in Heathfield. If you're competent in the kitchen we'd love to hear from you.

Kitchen Assistant, Heathfield

Part-time, 17.5 hours per week. Includes alternate weekends.

 

Job Purpose

Support the Kitchen Manager & Cook in preparing and serving high-quality meals to tenants in our new care-enabled enhanced sheltered housing scheme in Heathfield. Ensure high cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen and dining room whilst adhering to food hygiene regulations and infection control. Create a high tenant satisfaction level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals under the direction of the Kitchen Manager
  • Wash up and clear down the kitchen
  • Clean dining area after service
  • Assist with deliveries
  • Adhere to kitchen cleaning procedures and schedules as directed by the Kitchen Manager
  • Ensure the correct use of all equipment and products in line with risk assessments and COSHH
  • Maintain all records regarding food safety and stock control, and cleaning
  • Understand and observe all relevant regulations and policies and procedures

Knowledge required to undertake the role

Essential

  1. An experience working in a professional kitchen
  2. Ability to plan and execute multiple work tasks in a highly organised manner
  3. Working knowledge of food safety standards

Desirable

  1. A relevant food hygiene certificate
  2. Able to be flexible

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17.5 per week
