Welcome to our house

Located in Tunbridge Wells, Abbeyfield House was developed by joining three terraced houses together in Cadogan Gardens. It now provides supported housing for 14 people and comprises single studio en-suite rooms, spread over three floors. Patio gardens with raised beds and borders create a peaceful place within the central location. Parking is available for house visitors.

Our house has a warm and friendly atmosphere, where friendships are easy to form with other residents. We offer lunch and supper in our communal dining area, as well as coffee mornings and afternoon teas for those who would like companionship from other residents.

Situated in the heart of Tunbridge Wells town, Abbeyfield House has easy access to shops, theatres, and restaurants, as well as, churches, post office and social centre, all of which are within walking distance.

Location

Abbeyfield House benefits from a very central location in the middle of Tunbridge Wells town, Kent. Tunbridge Wells offers all the facilities and services you would expect from a large town.

Nearby you’ll find the famous Pantiles and chalybeate spring, as well as the wonderful award-winning gardens of Dunorlan Park; formerly a garden of a mansion, it has a beautiful lake, wildlife, flowers and a Grecian temple. Or visit Spa Valley railway, where you can ride on a heritage steam train, stopping at historic stations along the way, or enjoy fish and chips or afternoon tea on board.

With excellent transport links, you could also visit the town’s largest theatre, the Assembly Hall, where you’ll find a varied selection of events ranging from classical music, comedies, family events and an annual pantomime.

House life

This is a busy house, offering lunch and supper in the communal dining area, with the addition of morning coffee and afternoon tea for those that like to meet up at different times during the day. Breakfast is self-catered with provisions of your choice supplied by us, as part of your tenancy.

Weekly activities are available including an exercise class and film afternoon. Tenants are actively involved in the house and its decisions, with many attending the tenant meetings. Friendships develop naturally within the house, creating companionship and a family atmosphere.
