It's blooming lovely at Abbeyfield South Downs

After so much rain earlier this year, we've been out in the fresh air enjoying the gardens across our houses this Spring.

From community gardening at our Holdenhurst scheme to our keenest gardener at Beamsley House, Eastbourne, we can now enjoy the blooming lovely results of all that hard work.

Our houses across Sussex share a supportive, vibrant & like-minded approach with active, independent living at its heart. You can get involved as much or as little as you wish, with the freedom to live independently.

So, if you're a keen gardener there is plenty of opportunity to get involved. But if you'd rather sit with a hot drink and enjoy the tranquillity and birdsong, that's fine too.

Gardening at Holdenhurst, Heathfield

A few of our community gardeners in action!

With five fruit trees at Holdenhurst we officially have our own orchard, lovingly cared for by our community gardeners.

We have plums, damsons, crab apples, Bramley apples and Cox’s pippin apples. We are looking forward to our first harvest this year!
